本日はSue Coccia というアーティストのぬり絵本を紹介します。2013年にシアトルに旅行へ行った時に、偶然ホテル近くの公園でアートフェスティバルのようなイベントが開催されていてぶらっと立ち寄ってみたところ、このぬり絵本を見つけたみたいです。Cocciaさんのおばあちゃんのおばあちゃんがアメリカの先住民族なんだそうで、彼女の絵にはファーストネーションのアートが織りまぜられています。彼女の作品にはたくさんの動物が隠されています。なんとも言えない魅力があふれる作品で、塗っていて非常に楽しいです。日記を見返してみて気づいたのですが、ジョハンナさんの「ひみつの花園」を購入する２年前にこのSue Cocciaのぬり絵本を買っていたんです。このブログを始めた時に「ひみつの花園」が私の最初のぬり絵本って書いてる……どうしよう？
Ok, apparently, I found this coloring book at an art festival when I travelled to Seattle in 2013. The artist is Sue Coccia whose grandmother’s grandmother is Native American, and her art contains beautiful Indigenous art. It is fun finding small creatures hidden in her art. I quite enjoy coloring this book. When I was looking back my old journal, I realized I had bought this book before I purchased Johanna’s Secret Garden. Sue Coccia’s coloring book is my very first adult coloring book. When I started my blog, I wrote that Secret Garden was my first coloring book which is not true! My bad.
