色辞典 - IROJITEN

トンボの色辞典。初めてこれを見た時の感動は今でも覚えています。とにかくパッケージがオシャレ！名前も可愛い！1988年に第一集、1990年に第二集、1992年に第三集が発売されたそうです。2018年には新色10色が追加されたようですね。

I still remember that I was sooo excited when I first saw this Tombow IROJITEN series. How fashionable looking they are! And the name sounds very cute, too! IROJITEN means Colour Dictionary. The fist set of 30 colours was released in 1988, the second set came in 1990, and the third one in 1992. They recently added ten more new colors in 2018. 

20代の時にこのパッケージが気に入って全てのセットを購入しましたが、何のために買ったのか？当時ぬり絵をしていた記憶はないんですよ。眺めて楽しんでいたのか？

I bought the three sets when I was in twenties but I don’t know why I bought them. I didn’t use them as pencils as I didn’t do colouring or drawings back then. Did I just enjoy looking at them?

ほぼ新品の状態で30代になるまで大事に保管して、このまま使わないのももったいないと思い、娘のRisaにあげることにしました。彼女もぬり絵が小さい頃から大好きで、本当に良く使ってくれました。その結果がこちら、現在の姿です。70本しかない！子どもの好む主要な色はありません。最近ぬり絵を再開するまでしばらく忘れ去られていました。これからはまた活躍してくれることでしょう。

I kept them for ten years without using and gave them to Risa when she was little. She also loved colouring and used them a lot! So now they are like this. We only have seventy pencils left. All those basic colours kids would love are gone. They were almost forgotten until recently. As I restarted colouring recently, I will use these again.
